Iziko Cape Town Musuem exhibition

Saturday morning 20th November saw me heading off to the Cape Town Iziko Museum to photograph the opening of the ‘Made in Translation’ Rock art exhibition curated by Pippa Skotness and Petro Keene.

The opening included a very creative piece by the UCT choir and an intro narrative by Kapilolo Mahongo.

The display included many interesting pieces, drawings and photos. The exhibition will run until November 2011.

About 200 people showed up for the opening and this saw every available seat in the house being occupied with the stairs also being taken up by the interested public who had come here to attend the opening.

Anyone that knows the museum will know that the whale display arena in the middle as you enter is probably darker than hell and with the massive whale which hangs from the ceiling lowered and lying in the middle it made for interesting pictures. Below are some pictures I like from this expo.

If you are in search of a photographer for a launch or exhibition in Cape Town then please drop me a mail to discuss your upcoming event.
